11 feet is nothing right now...We have 34 feet...400 inches of snow up at our summer place in the Cascades... The Cabin is burried... I can understand that you want to be back at the beach in So. Cal. as for me, Palm Springs..and oh yes Oahu would be fun too Waikiki Beach and North Shore & 80....
