whats up fellas, I went to Mavericks Invitational a couple weeks ago and it was off the hook, thousands of people were there, waves were absolutely huge they said some were 35+ ft. Also got to see some big time surfers, Evan Slater, Greg Long, Grant "twiggy" Baker, etc. I also got a chance to talk to the legend himself Jeff Clark. I was a blast. Has anyone else been to any other surf contest this year?

Im took a lot of pics with my phone so those will be getting post asap.

What's Up? I wish I could have seen that event. The locals have been talking about it. The last contest I saw was the qualifying @ Sunset Beach, North Shore back in late October 97', the waves were pretty good then, but my friend just got back from the North Shore and said he saw Jamie O'brien getting tubed, and just as it started to spit, he switched his stance, then came out...pretty impressive. Please let me know of any upcoming contests you know of so I can post them on the events calendar. Thanks for sharing! Skimchick
