Ah yes, summer has nearly arrived. I know this because it took me half an hour just to go a few blocks north to the downtown area so I could do some banking. It was a total gridlock on the back road, not even on Coast Hwy. Spring Breakers and tourists are coming in bus loads to enjoy this lovely beach weather we've been having. I also stood in line on Saturday morning for twenty minutes, just trying to get a cup of coffee. When I'm driving this tourist season, I always try an allow myself extra time and most importantly, ALWAYS KEEP A LOOKOUT FOR THE MANY PEDESTRIANS wandering around. Pedestrians need to do their part as well, by using crosswalks and just paying attention to their surroundings.

Hi Skimchick,

I remember the roads & beaches being full during the summer's, holiday's, the the weekender's visiting Pismo Beach...back in the early 1980's... And today, more cars then ever. People are still flocking to the beaches...hey, it helps the economy...plus we love the ocean.
