I was in High School in the late 60's I lived in Hacienda Heights 3 blocks from Hwy. 39, BUT about 30 miles fron HB. My friends & I would cruise down HWY 39 to Life Guard Station no. 6. There were MANY Chick HitchHikers along the way to offer rides to. Sometimes we would go up to the pier and surf there too. That was MANY YEARS and a few GRAY HAIRS ago....LOL As I moved up in jobs & Pay I FINALLY bought a house there in HB up around Bolsa Chica & Garfield ave. I lived there for a couple of years & then l lost my job in LA. I sold the house & most of my stuff and moved my young family to my present location in the country outside of Macon GA. of ALL PLACES >>> LOL. I will soon retire from my job here and I ONLY WISH I could AFFORD return there and live in HB again.
